Tailored legal support for an Asian conglomerate

Challenge

Our client, a Hong Kong conglomerate, was looking for a legal counsel for some interim support while they recruit for the role. They wanted someone with commercial experience. In particular, they needed someone with hands-on experience in handling e-commerce and technology related contracts. Strong command of Chinese drafting skills was mandatory and they wanted someone who speaks, reads and writes fluent Chinese, who can come in and plug the gap.

Solution

At the time, we had someone who was just finishing up with her prior secondment and was looking for the next assignment. We managed to find a suitable consultant with prior in- house experience gained from a technology company where she was acting as the sole counsel of the company. The consultant was an excellent match and has sound commercial knowledge in the TMT and digital space who also had solid TMT background gained from one of the leading international law firms in Hong Kong.
